I’m a 25 year old college student in Michigan. I’ve already received one degree from Central Michigan University in Communication Disorders with a minor in American Sign Language and English, then I moved to Boston to work on a doctorate degree in Audiology at Northeastern. While I loved Boston and wish I could have stayed longer, I wasn’t having a good time in school and missed my family and friends back home, so I packed up and moved back to MI where I’m now working on a degree in Deaf Education from MSU.
I’m loving life and my favorite things to do are cook for friends and travel. I love to host dinner parties and create full meals for my friends and family, but I don’t get the opportunity to as much as I would like. This is the same problem I have with traveling. I studied abroad with Semester at Sea in 2005 and went to 8 countries in Northern Europe starting in Nova Scotia and going to Iceland, Norway, Russia, Poland, Belgium, France, Ireland, Spain and then back across the ocean to Ft. Lauderdale. By far this was one of the best experiences of my life in terms of the friends I made, the people I met, the food I tasted, and the things I saw. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t wish time travel existed so I could go back to being a 20/21 year old exploring new lands. In addition to that trip, I have been to England twice to visit friends and coworkers from a summer job, and Ireland once more with a theatre class. I would have to say that I am seriously considering my options in moving abroad when I finally get done with my education. Its something I have wanted to do since high school.
If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to ask, my life is an open book!
